The flag of Serbia consists of three equal horizontal bands of red (top), blue, and white. At the center, slightly toward the hoist side, there's a lesser version of the Serbian national coat of arms, which features a white two-headed eagle against a red shield background, with both eagles' heads turned towards the golden crown above them. In front of the eagle, there's a smaller red shield with a white cross and four white firesteels in each quadrant. The red-white-blue tricolor stems from Pan-Slavic colors, representing Slavic heritage and history, whereas the coat of arms stands for Serbian sovereignty and national identity.
