Oregon's flag, navy blue with gold lettering and symbols, is the only U.S. state flag with different designs on each side. One side shows the state shield, supported by a beaver on top, while the reverse features a gold figure of a beaver (the state animal). The shield's elements symbolize the natural riches of the state and the pioneers' journey.
