The Jordanian flag consists of three horizontal stripes: black on top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. There's also a red equilateral triangle on the hoist side bearing a white, seven-pointed star. The colors are associated with the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire during World War I, and the star represents the seven verses of the first surah in the Quran.
